JK Amalou’s 1996 film Hard Men is now considered the Grandaddy of the Brit Gangster film revival from the nineties. Ridley Scott is a fan of it and Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels took it’s lead from it. was grateful to spend some time with JK before he went off to shoot his new UK thriller ‘Assassin’ starring Danny Dyer. In this podcast he treats us to his film making process – often using his 2012 feature Deviation as the example. All aspiring UK film makers should tune in and learn from his experience.
